Charleston Babymoon - Kiawah Island

Back in April, we enjoyed a few spring days in Charleston, South Carolina.  We wanted to get away one last time before we would be traveling with little Miss AND all her gear in tow.  Just thinking about trying to get through airport security with a child under age five makes me reach for the Tums.  Our Charleston trip I’m breaking into a couple posts - too much pretty for just one!

When we got to the airport in Charleston, we rented a car and then drove straight to Kiawah Island (Kiawah was the beach recommendation from the rental car agent).  Kiawah Island is a tiny barrier island about an hour south of Charleston.  Think PGA golfers, beach cruiser bikes, and picturesque storefronts and you've got an accurate image.  We only spent a few hours there - we just thought it’d be fun to check out the beach and drive around the island.  Here are a few snapshots of our time on Kiawah!

Cue James Taylor - I'm goin' to Carolina in my Mind!
